Fixing of Blocked Drains in Daglish Homes

Daglish, a small suburb in the western part of Perth, is situated approximately 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) west of the city’s central business district. It falls under the administration of the City of Subiaco. The suburb was named after Henry Daglish, who served as the Mayor of Subiaco, represented the Subiaco electoral district, and was the Premier of Western Australia from 1904 to 1905. In order to accommodate the growing population in the neighboring Subiaco area, the Daglish railway station was constructed in 1924. The following year, the Subiaco Municipality acquired the land west of the railway station for residential development. Over the course of the next two decades, the suburb underwent significant progress. The initial phase of construction near the train station followed the concept of a garden suburb, featuring spacious lots, landscaped gardens, winding roads, and ample green spaces. Today, the neighborhood holds great historical value due to its uniform streetscape, with a majority of the original residences still intact. As per the 2016 Australian census, Daglish is home to a population of 1419 individuals. The largest park in Daglish is the Cliff Sadlier VC Memorial Park, which was originally a water compensation basin managed by the Metropolitan Water Supply, Sewerage, and Drainage Board. While Daglish itself does not have any schools, there are several educational institutions in close proximity. Jolimont Primary School, located just north of the neighborhood, serves the residents of Daglish.
